What about single fathers? Are we able to apply for the same grants as single mothers or is there discrimination going on here?

I need help to find someone that can advocate on my behalf as I have been approved for a government grant for the last 7 years and have not been very successfull in getting my house fixed up. Do you know where I could find a advocate and where I can complain about federal government programs?

I’m a single mom of 4 ages 18 to 3. I lost my job 1 year ago due to plant closing. I have since found work but I’m starting over. My children and I are staying at my mothers which has put alot of strain on everyone, I have no extra money to put down on a house. I just want to give my children a loving home where they know they are safe. I’m going crazy everywhere I turn its a dead end I just want to know where to go and who to ask for help.

I’m a single mother. My son is 10 months old. I don’t have a job, i’ve been looking but I can’t find anything. I’m staying at my mothers house but she will be getting a divorce from her husband. I have to find a place to live when this is done. I’m desperate, I want to live in a safe place with my son. I don’t know who to talk to for help. I don’t know where I’m going to live at once my mother divorces her husband. Please Help

Hello im a 23yr old single mother of 2 1st daughter 7 and the other one is not born yet. Ive just moved to atlanta in june and has been living with a friend..i do have a job but i dnt have enough assistance to get my own place for my kids and myself..i also have a associate degree in science that i recieved in may 2010. that really insired me to come here to start a new life with my kids,but i cant because i do not have a place to call home!

I am a single mother of four children. i also have a grandchild that i am helping take care of. i am currently out of a job and i have no where to go on account of my house was foreclosed and my landlord did not tell me till last minute. i have to be out by the end of this week and i am afraid because there is no one that can take us and i am struggling to find a job. I’m a single mother of a seven year old son. I’ve been in temp jobs looking for a permanent job but it’s difficult to find one. I’m attending college for my bachelors degree and expect to graduate winter 2011. I’m staying with my mother and stepfather but right now, they have a full house due to family(5 extra people) moving to the us and no place to stay here. It is too crowed for us here and I really want to be on my feet. I’m 27 year old and feel that I need to be independent.
